Please give us your opinion on your idea for next year’s halftime show. This is a non-binding vote. The deadline is Tuesday, May 28th.

FBA State Concert MPA

Last Thursday, the ZHS Symphonic Band participated in the FBA State Concert MPA held at the University of South Florida. After listening to the band’s performance, the adjudicators awarded the group straight “Superior” ratings !  The only other time that ZHS received a superior rating was in 1961, under the direction of John TV Clark – that was 53 years ago !

Lakeside Jazz Festival

On Saturday, April 20th, jazz students from ZHS performed at the Lakeside Jazz Festival in Port Orange.

Jazz II received straight “excellent” ratings. The trumpets were awarded the “outstanding section” award. Christian Jones was selected as the”outstanding soloist”.

Jazz I received straight “superior” ratings. The rhythm section were awarded the “outstanding section” award. John Ashmore was selected as the”outstanding soloist”.

FBA Concert MPA

Last night, the ZHS Symphonic Band participated in the FBA Concert MPA held at Wesley Chapel. The adjudicators were demanding a very high level of musicianship from these students. So much so, that only two (2) from our entire district recieved Superior ratings – we were the first one !
